    The untamed beauty of Phu Quoc Island has owed so much from the spectacular landscapes of traditional fishing villages which date back to hundreds of years ago. These beautiful fishing villages in Phu Quoc are not modern, not rich but can give you memorable experiences.

     

     

     

    Ham Ninh fishing village

    From the centre of Duong Dong town heading 20km to the northeast, you will be indulged in the poetic and mesmerising enchant of Ham Ninh. The village situates in the foot of Ham Ninh moutain. Village people here usually live in primitive cottages and earn their livings by fishing.

     

     

    The most ideal moment is in the morning when the dawn rises above the sea bathing the dazzling water and Ham Long port bridge in the pinky light. Standing at theh bridge, tourists can look over the Hai Tac and Hon Nghe Island.

    Ganh Dau fishing village

    Ganh Dau is located on a northern cape of Phu Quoc island. The scenic fishing villagesurrounded by stunning sandy beaches, forests and mountains. 500m beach is crescent-shaped. Seafood is cheap and particularly delicous. This is the best place for you to experience local people’s life. Ganh Dau is a secluded and peaceful village which is worth a visit.

    Cua Can fishing village

    Located at 14km toward the north of Duong Dong town, Cua Can is another renowned fishing village of Phu Quoc Island. This tiny village has many wooden bridge which allow only pedestrians, biker or motorbikers. There is Cua Can river which flows through Phu Quoc primary forest. For more adventures, you may try to convince a fishing boat’s owner to take you to Cua Can river to see how local people live their daily life on the river’s sides.

    Rach Vem fishing village

    There are just 170 families living in this village, most of them are fishermen. The village looks small among the spacious green and blue landscapes around. Embarking the fishing boat, you will get your feet on the floating houses looking at the starfishes under the crystal clear water.

     

     

    Rach Tram fishing village

    Boating on the Rach Tram River in the middle of mangrove forest of cajuput and hopea odorata with many kinds of flowers around. Following on one of two branches of Rach Tram River, you will go upstream and walk on the sand bank to watch many kinds of orchids. Rich nature and diverse flora make your trip to Rach Tram village more interesting.

    Hon Thom fishing village

    Hon Thom Island belongs to An Thoi archipelago which is in the north of Phu Quoc Island. You can depart from An Thoi habour where many fishing boats anchor. It takes you 30 minute boating to Hon Thom. Since you put your feet on the pathway of this secluded tranquilt village, you can enjoy visiting places of aquaculture or diving to watch corals in the pure water.
