Vietjet opens Ho Chi Minh city – Van Don route
Vietjet Air officially opened a new service linking Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don International Airport in northern Quang Ninh province on January 20. The new route connects Vietnam’s largest city and attractive islands off the coast of Quang Ninh, meeting major demand for air and cargo transport and contributing to trade in and the integration of Vietnam’s northeast region. The Ho Chi Minh City – Van Don route features return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with a flight time of around two hours and 15 minutes per leg.
Flights depart Ho Chi Minh City at 7am and arrive in Van Don at 9.15am. The return flight takes off from Van Don at 9.50am and lands in Ho Chi Minh City at 12.05pm. The new route continues Vietjet’s cheerful New Year celebrations. Van Don Island is an attractive tourist destination with popular destinations such as Bai Tu Long National Park, Dua Islet, Thien Nga Islet, Quan Lan Island, Minh Chau Island, Ngoc Vung Island, and the famed Ha Long Bay. Van Don International Airport officially opened on December 30.
