DAY 1: DANANG ARRIVAL

Start your discovery of Vietnam in enchanting Danang! Centrally located to dozens of popular tourist attractions and stunning natural landmarks, the next 5 days will be filled with sight-seeing and shopping opportunities. Once your flight touches down at Danang International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check in and a day of leisure to get acquainted with the city.

DAY 2: BA NA HILLS & GOLDEN BRIDGE (B,L)

Don’t forget your camera and selfie stick today as we visit Sun World’s Ba Na Hills, Vietnam’s most celebrated amusement park and recreational center. To reach the park, you must take a ride on one of the world’s longest and highest cable car rides to a scenic resort village at 1,487m above sea level. Then, make sure to check out Le Jardin d’Amour’s stunning flowers and statues as well as Linh Ung Pagoda, a tranquil space featuring a huge statue of Lady Bodhisattva.

Wander through the idyllic streets of the French Village, inspired by Renaissance European architecture before the moment you have been waiting for, crossing Buddha’s hands holding up the iconic Golden Bridge. Voted by TIME magazine in 2018 as one of the world’s “Top 10 best destinations” and admired by The Guardian as “the world’s most impressive pedestrian bridge”, this 150m long bridge sits at 1414m above sea level and makes the perfect backdrop from your Instagram photos and Tiktok videos!

After a buffet lunch at the resort’s restaurant, complete your day with a stop at Fantasy Park, dubbed as one of the most modern indoor game centers in Asia, or head down from the hotels and spend some time at the beach or at your hotel.

DAY 3: THE TRADITIONAL VILLAGES OF HOI AN (B,L)

Check-out of your hotel after breakfast and transfer by private car on a 30-minute drive south to Hoi An. Then, hop on a bike and cycle through the lush tropical countryside and vibrant rice paddies to Tra Que vegetable village. A local chef will take you through the village’s gardens, teaching you about the different types of organic herbs and vegetables grown here. Collect the ingredients and take them to your cooking class, preparing classic Vietnamese dishes like Banh Xeo, Nem Tuoi, and Tam Huu salad for your lunch.

Next up is Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village along the banks of the Thu Bon River. Take a local boat to Cua Dai Beach to see traditional fishing methods that local fishermen use to catch fish. Finish up with an exciting bamboo basket boat ride through a gorgeous mangrove forest and see who can catch the smallest crabs during a fisherman race!

DAY 4: MY SON SANCTUARY AND THE ANCIENT TOWN OF HOI AN (B,L)

Today is all about history at My Son Sanctuary, an UNESCO World Heritage temple of Hindu temples from the Champa Kingdom’s dynasty, dating back to the 7^th – 13^th centuries. An hour’s drive south of Hoi An, you’ll have ample time to venture around the paths, visiting the numerous ruins and soaking in the atmosphere of this historic site, returning to the city just in time for lunch.

End the day with an afternoon walking tour of Hoi An’s Ancient Town’s charming architecture and pagodas, including the Japanese Covered Bridge, open-air market, and eclectic array of colorful shops and galleries. As evening falls, stroll around town, shopping for souvenirs and sampling street food stalls and along the magical riverside lit up by thousands of lanterns at night.

DAY 5: DANANG DEPARTURE (B)

Check-out of your hotel by noon and spend the day at leisure until your airport transfer brings you back to Danang International Airport for your onward booked transportation. If you’d like to extend your adventure in Vietnam, ask us about relaxing beach breaks on the tropical island paradise of Phu Quoc or take a quick 1-hour direct flight to Cambodia’s Phnom Penh or Siem Reap!

PAYMENTS

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking is required within three days from the date of confirmation. The balance payment is due at 90 days prior to tour commencement date. For bookings made less than 90 days, full payment is required. Bookings will be cancelled if payments are not received by the due date(s).

Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit cards. In addition to the total payable amount, credit card payments will incur a merchant fee of 2.5% for MasterCard and Visa, 3% for American Express. Any bank charges and merchant fees must be covered by the customer.

CANCELLATIONS

Confirmed bookings must be cancelled by the party leader in writing (by email) and this will only be effective once the written cancellation is confirmed by ATA Holidays. Cancellation by the party leader will be subject to the following cancellation fees from the date the written cancellation is received:

+ more than 90 days prior to tour date - loss of deposit

+ between 61 and 90 days prior to tour date - 25% of total cost

+ between 31 and 60 days prior to tour date - 50% of total cost

+ within 30 days prior to tour date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

AMENDMENTS

Any amendments to confirmed bookings must be requested by the party leader in writing (by email). Whilst we will endeavor to assist, we cannot guarantee that requests will be met. If we can make the requested change, you will be provided with a quote detailing any additional costs, whether incurred due to your amendments, imposed by a Third-Party Travel Provider, or our amendment fees. In all cases, the following amendment fees shall apply:

+ If amendments are made more than 90 days prior to scheduled tour date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of A$100 per amendment for a short trip (less than 7 nights) or A$200 per amendment for a long journey (7 nights or more).

+ If amendments are made within 90 days prior to arrival – the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

We will not charge any cancellation/amendment fees if it is due to a breach by us of any of our obligations or due to our fault; or if the Third-Party Travel Provider amends your booking through no fault of the customer.

COVID-19 RELATED POLICIES

If you can’t travel as a direct result of Covid-19 related matters, ATA Holidays will:

+ allow you to change the dates of your holiday; or

+ offer you a credit for another holiday, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers; or

+ give you a refund, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers.

This policy is only valid if the ability to travel is beyond your control. You are required to provide reasonable documentation confirming that your inability to travel is due to Covid-19 related matters. For cancellations or modifications due to reasons not related to Covid-19, our standard policies as stipulated in our terms and conditions apply.
