SON DOONG CAVE
There is no word to describe the majesty of Son Dong Cave nestled in Phong Nha National Park – Ke Bang, Quang Binh Province. The cave was found in 1991 by a local farmer. In 2009 British Cave Research Association made an expedition to this place, and since then the image of Vietnam has been more famous for a network of incredible caves in compare to many regions in the world. Visitors are definitely convinced by spectacular landscapes deep into the cave, ranging from phenomenal stalactites to a chain of unbelievable “rocky pearls”.
TAM COC – BICH DONG
The first cave (Hang Ca) is 127 meters long and goes through a large mountain; its gate is 20 meters wide. Under plate tectonics for many years, stalactites have formed in various shapes and found inside the caves, pleasing any visitor there. The second cave is 60 meters long and has eye-catching stalactites in the shape of water drops while the third is the smallest one with the almost plain ceiling. In addition to the scenery in the caves, there are also impressive relics nobody can resist contemplating.Interestingly, Tam Coc – Bich Dong of Ngu Nhac Son Mountain Range is labeled as Ha Long Bay on land or the second majestic cave in Vietnam. It is just 7 kilometers to the south of the center of Ninh Binh Province, so you will find it very easy to reach this tourist destination. There are three caves inside it, consisting of Ca Cave (the first cave), Hai Cave (the second cave) and Ba Cave (the third cave). At the moment of leisurely cruising along Ngo Dong River, travelers can witness imposing natural sights around. More amazingly, inside the caves is an enchanting picture looking like a miraculous world.
PHONG NHA CAVES
The most outstanding thing is that rock formations there are in special shapes, such as Lion, Unicorn, and Buddhist statues. Located in the karst mountain of Ke Bang, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, Phong Nha Cave is depicted as a group of over 300 big and small caves, 8 meters long, 83 meters deep, and 50 meters tall. Reaching the cave is by boat whereby visitors can freely observe and perceive the natural charms along the waterway. Right after setting foot inside is like entering a totally different world in which you can soak up the fresh air and the pleasant atmosphere.
TRANG AN CAVES
Trang An Landscape Complex is referred to as one of the popular tourist destinations in Ninh Binh Province. The spot has won the hearts numerous travelers by its natural charms which are a mix of mountains, water, sky, and caves. There are up to thirty-one swamps connecting together due to fourty-eight caves, such as Dia Linh Cave, Cloud Cave, and Sinh Duoc Cave. Each of the caves has a specific feature, and many of them are recognized as archaeological relics. Although they are not as spectacular as Phong Nha – Ke Bang, the scenery surely leaves you unforgettable experiences when you make a visit here.
SUNG SOT CAVES
Sung Sot Cave – meaning Amazing Cave in English says it all since it will bring visitors authentic experiences right at the first time of viewing the sights inside it. Located in Bo Hon Island, that cave is portrayed as a ravishing scenic picture with twinkling stalactites like lights at the ceiling and in different shapes, e.g. flowers, leaves, and animals. Penetrating deeper astonishes you more; you are lost in an ethereal wonderland whose landscapes are miraculous and incredible.
