Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay

09:00 – 09:30 | Depart from Hanoi’s Old Quarter via shuttle service (additional charges apply) or by self-organized transport to Tuan Chau Marina to board the cruise. The journey typically takes 2 hours.

12:00 | Board our support boat and travel from the wharf to our luxurious vessel, Peony Cruises. Let us welcome you aboard with a complimentary drink while you attend the compulsory safety procedure session. Then, we encourage you to explore our ship and check-in to your cabin.

12:15 | Sit down for a special lunch feast featuring an assortment of appetizing delicacies as the ship begins to sail through the magical landscape of Lan Ha Bay.

15:30 | The first tour of the day is in one of Lan Ha’s most memorable regions, Frog Pond. Kayak around limestone islets and float in the emerald-coloured waters with an afternoon swim.

17:30 | Admire the sunset from the best vantage point, our sun deck, and take advantage of the stunning moment to take photos and perhaps join in our cooking demonstration. You can also book a massage treatment in our spa by talking to the Cruise Manager.

19:00 | Time for dinner! Let our onboard catering team wow you with a delightful meal served in the dining room’s intimate romantic setting.

21:00 | As evening falls, choose from an array of activities to try, from watching a film and trying squid fishing to a late-night spa session and exotic cocktail underneath the stars.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay - Viet Hai Village - Cat Ba Island

06:30 - 07:30 | Start the day with breakfast in the dining room.

08:00 - 08.30 | Board our smaller tender for a day of exploration deep in Lan Ha Bay and its biggest island, Cat Ba. Cycle along the trails to peaceful Viet Hai Village or take a leisurely ride on an electric tram through vast rice fields and jungle scenery. Learn about daily local life with visits to different houses in the area made from straw, mud, and bamboo.

12:00 | Return to the day-cruise boat and replenish your energy with a variety of dishes prepared for your lunch.

14:00 | Discover a pristine area within Lan Ha Bay famous for its fine white sand beaches. Sunbathe, swim, and kayak during this leisure time.

16:30 | Return to Peony Cruises and enjoy more free time to spend as you like as the day shifts to twilight.

19:15 | Head to the dining room and revel in the local flavours of your final dinner in beautiful Halong Bay.

20:45 | After dinner, why not sing a song or two of karaoke? Of course, if you would simply like to relax in your cabin, that is quite alright too!

Day 3: Dark & Bright Cave - Lan Ha Bay - Departure

06:15 | Wake up as the sun rises and meet us on the sun deck for a Tai Chi lesson to start the day. Then, warm the body up with a cup of tea or coffee as the stunning scenery unfolds before you.

06:45 - 07:45 | A light breakfast of viennoiseries, tea and coffee will be served in our restaurant before the morning’s excursion to the iconic Dark and Light cave.

08:00 | Experience a different side of the region by riding in an indigenous bamboo boat rowed by local people through the Dark and Light cave. These two caves are an ideal way to take in nature, and you may be lucky enough to spy a fossil in the cave walls or a monkey swinging from tree to tree!

09:30 - 10:00 | Check-out of your cabin as we draw closer to the mainland. After a ﬁnal early brunch and a last farewell from our crew at 11:30, board our transfer boat and head back to the wharf.

12:30 | Depart Halong for your next destination, either by shuttle transfer to Hanoi (additional charges apply) or to your next destination via Hai Phong International Airport or Noi Bai International Airport.

Terms & Conditions

PAYMENTS

A deposit of 30% of the total booking is required within three days from the date of confirmation. The balance payment is due at 45 days prior to embarkation date. For bookings made less than 45 days, full payment is required. Bookings will be cancelled if payments are not received by the due date(s).

Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit cards. In addition to the total payable amount, credit card payments will incur a merchant fee of 2.5% for MasterCard and Visa, 3% for American Express. Any bank charges and merchant fees must be covered by the customer.

CANCELLATIONS

Confirmed bookings must be cancelled by the party leader in writing (by email) and this will only be effective once the written cancellation is confirmed by FantaSea Vietnam. Cancellation by the party leader will be subject to the following cancellation fees from the date the written cancellation is received:

+ more than 45 days prior to embarkation date - 10% of total cost

+ between 31 and 45 days prior to embarkation date - 25% of total cost

+ between 16 and 30 days prior to embarkation date - 50% of total cost

+ within 15 days prior to embarkation date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

AMENDMENTS

Any amendments to confirmed bookings must be requested by the party leader in writing (by email). Whilst we will endeavor to assist, we cannot guarantee that requests will be met. If we can make the requested change, you will be provided with a quote detailing any additional costs, whether incurred due to your amendments, imposed by a Third-Party Travel Provider, or our amendment fees. In all cases, the following amendment fees shall apply:

+ If amendments are made more than 45 days prior to embarkation date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of U$30 per amendment.

+ If amendments are made within 45 days prior to embarkation date: the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

We will not charge any cancellation/amendment fees if it is due to a breach by us of any of our obligations or due to our fault; or if the Third-Party Travel Provider amends your booking through no fault of the customer.
