As part of its ongoing commitment to providing seamless customer service, Vietnam Airlines is delighted to announce the official launch of its new In-town Check-in service. The service is provided by a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines- Vietnam Airlines Ground Services Limited Company (VIAGS). Vietnam Airlines is proud to become the first and only airline in Vietnam to offer this service. The airport check-in service will enable passengers to carry out all check-in procedures, including seat selection, collecting boarding passes and luggage tags and checking baggage, right at the facilities in Hanoi (from 12 October 2018) and Da Nang (from November 2018). The service is applicable to Vietnam Airlines’ domestic flights departing from Noi Bai or Danang airports, with daily opening hours including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Passengers can use In-town Check-in service on the day of departure and at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled flight departure time.

In-town check-in provides a convenient way for travellers to avoid the hassle of travelling with bulky luggage from the city to the airport, and saves time compared to the counter check-in. Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia are among the other countries that already have introduced this service.

Le Hong Ha, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said: “Our ultimate aim is to provide our passengers with a pleasant and seamless travel experience. By integrating In-town Check-in, customers can enjoy on-ground service that meets the 4-star standard of being safe, quick and convenient. As the first and only carrier in Vietnam to offer this service, Vietnam Airlines hopes this development will add significant value to our customers and enable us to reach 5-star status in the foreseeable future.”

Currently, Vietnam Airlines offers all five differentiated check-in methods including: counter check-in; kiosk check-in; online check-in via the official website www.vietnamairlines.com, or the Vietnam Airlines mobile app; and In-Town Check-in, meeting the needs of every traveller.
