    To enter Vietnam, you must have a visa, a visa exemption certificate or an approval letter for a visa-on-arrival. FantaSea Travel offers Vietnam visa service for guests booking a Vietnam tour with us only. Some nationalities are granted entry to Vietnam for a month or less without a visa – the rest must possess a written permit of some form to board the plane and enter Vietnam. A visa is not a passport: a passport allows you to travel beyond your home country’s border and serves as a form of identity, a visa is a legal document that allows you enter a particular countries. 

     

    DOCUMENT CHECK LIST FOR YOUR TRIP TO VIETNAM

    (1) Valid passport (your passport must be not less than 6 months from your arrival date)

    (2) Visa, if applicable (see below for details)

    (3) Health certificates or medical notes, if applicable

    (4) Cruise booking voucher (for your own reference)

    Please note that guests who do not possess the valid documents mentioned above might be denied boarding and risk cancellation of trip without refund. Such documents are also important in case of emergency.

     

    VIETNAM VISA EXEMPTION

    14 days: Myanmar, Brunei  

    15 days: Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, UK (July 2018 – Jun 2019). Citizens of these countries allowed to stay in Vietnam less than 15 days without visa will have to wait 30 days (if they enter Vietnam with the exemption) after the first visit to enter again in Vietnam with the exemption

    21 days: The Philippines

    30 days: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand

     

    EXCEPTIONS

    + Phu Quoc Island is a Special Economic zone, hence tourist are allowed to stay on the island up to 30 days without visa. However, tourist will need visa to visit other parts of Vietnam (if they do not have exemption).

     

    + Citizens from following countries holding diplomatic or official passport are allowed to stay in Vietnam with free visa:

    90 days: Armenia, Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Dominican, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, France, Hungary, India, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Myanmar, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovak, Slovenia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, Uruguay, Venezuela.

    60 days: Uzbekistan (only holding diplomatic passport).

    30 days: Angola, Azerbaijan, China, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Myanmar.

     

    + Citizens from following countries holding diplomatic or official passport are exempt a visa to Vietnam:

    Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Nicaragua, and Romania.

    90 days: Czech, Estonia, Germany, France, Israel, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland (only holding diplomatic passport).

    60 days: Uzbekistan (only holding diplomatic passport).

    30 days: Iran (only holding diplomatic passport).

     

    + Citizens holding APEC business travel card are granted visa-free to Vietnam for up to 60 days.

     

    VIETNAM VISA ON ARRIVAL

    Applying for a Visa on arrival will save you time and in most case money. In fact, obtaining a visa on arrival is increasingly the most popular way to travel to Vietnam.

    FantaSea Travel is very pleased to arrange a Vietnam Visa on arrival for guests booking a Vietnam Tour with us. You will require an Approval Letter to obtain a Vietnam visa upon arrival. This is a letter, approved by Vietnamese Immigration Department, which allows you to enter and remain in Vietnam for a given period. With the Visa Approval Letter, you can obtain a Vietnam visa at three Vietnamese international airports including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang.

    Visa type: Tourist Visa 

    Validity: One (1) month (from the date of issue)

    Number of entries: Single entry

    For US/American passport holders, visa on arrival is now available for 1 year multiple entry visa only. If you wish to obtain shorter term visas (1 month/3month), it is advised that you contact your local embassy for procedures.

     

    VIETNAM VISA FEES 2018

    Service fee: (upon request) – We offer free visa approval letter for customers who book a tour with us.

    Stamping fee: USD 25 – Payable directly in cash at the immigration office at the airport when you arrive in Vietnam.

     

    PROCEDURE FOR GETTING VIETNAM VISA APPROVAL LETTER 

    After receiving your request for a Vietnam visa, we will arrange a visa approval letter so you can pick up your Vietnam visa on arrival at an International airport in Vietnam. The processing time is 3-5 working days. We will send you the visa approval letter to you by email.

     

    GETTING VIETNAM VISA STAMPED ON ARRIVAL

    + Receive a Visa Approval Letter via email from us (attached with For Entry And Exit – Application Form).

    + Print out the Letter and the Application Form.

    + Fill out the Application Form.

    + Prepare 2 passport sized photos (4×6) and USD 25 for stamping fee (in cash)

    Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration Officers at Vietnam arrival airports.

     

    NOTES

    + Our Vietnam visa on arrival service is available only for guests booking a tour with our company.

    + This service is available for arrival at one of Vietnam’s international airport as mentioned above. If you come to Vietnam by sea or by road, please contact us for more information.

    + FantaSea Travel cannot guarantee you will be granted a Vietnam visa. All visa decisions are made by the Vietnam Immigration Department. FantaSea Travel is not liable, for any reasons whatsoever, for any failure to obtain a Vietnam visa or subsequent consequences resulting from any failure to obtain a Vietnam visa.
